Virtual Reality
Within the spectrum of Virtual Reality research the im.ve group has two main foci, interaction and software support structures. On the software side of the research system support for creating Virtual Reality applications forms a particular focus. Here the emphasis is on extending and improving existing capabilities in particular in respect to simplifying the creation of Interactive Experiences and supporting the creation of multi-modal interactions. Additionally, research on software for interaction research in VR and related fields bridges the software aspect and the interaction research. Interaction in VR an unsolved area. Our research investigates ways to extend the interaction possibilities with new and innovative interfaces and interaction methods. Our VR research is performed in the im.ve Lab, a state of the art research laboratory with various devices across the VR spectrum for testing and evaluating of of research.
